I recently received my Nano Iconic Facial Steamer a few days ago, and I could not wait to use it! Facial steaming is essential to having healthy skin, and not to mention it is super relaxing. I have gotten professional facials every once in a while, but not on a regular basis. This at-home facial steamer is perfect, for ladies (and men) who need something to hold them over in between their professional facials.
Nano Iconic Facial Steamer Feature
Like I mentioned previously, facial steaming is super important in having and maintaining healthy skin. It is recommended that you use a facial steamer for at least 10-15mins. before applying face masks, and/or cleansing products. The hot steam helps open the pores on your face, which helps your skin to absorb your face products much better. I have used my facial steamer once a week for the last couple of weeks, and I am completely in love! A tad dramatic? Maybe! But seriously, I feel like my clay masks penetrate my skin so much better when I apply them during my facial sessions.
Now, I enjoy my facial steamer, but there are some things I would change. A few cons of the facial steamer were that there are no temperature controls, and you will most likely have to use a towel to help guide the steam directly to your face. This facial steamer gets really, really hot! So you can only get so close to the center of the bowl without burning your face. I think a temperature control feature with different levels of heat would be an excellent addition. Also, you will probably have to use a towel to help guide the steam at some point during your facial session. I didn’t use a towel during my first facial session, but I did use one during my second session. The towel seriously makes a world of difference. Warning: If you use a towel during your facial session, you will 9 times out of 10 come from up under that towel looking a crazy steamy mess!
Humidifier Feature
I’m recently getting over a cold that came with plenty of nasal congestion. So, I actually got to test the humidifier feature of my facial steamer quite a few times. The humidifier worked flawlessly in opening my nasal passages. Can’t say I was too surprised! I deal with sinus issues what feels like year round, so humidifiers are like my BFF. I usually use cool air humidifiers, but this one releases hot air instead. Now, both hot/cool air humidifiers will work when it comes to opening your nasal passages. After experiencing both I think I prefer a cool air humidifier. It adds moisture to the air, but also keeps the room cool; which is a win, win for me!
